ArmInfo. Every second of Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan's sit-in in Revival Square is a white flag fluttering over a fortress, expert in cybersecurity Karen Vrtanesyan.
His step has been criticized by many as "pointless and disappointing."
"I am surprised at some people really thinking Arayik Harutyunyan wants to save Artsakh, but 'somehow failing to', people saying 'advise something to this miserable fool, for he does not know what to do," the expert said.
He cited the "hard facts" and put "embarrassing questions."
A blockade of Artsakh was inevitable even after the trilateral statement of November 9, 2020, which has been actively discussed since the very first hours.
"Let no one pretend that today's situation was unpredictable and unexpected...
Harutyunyan and his team not only did nothing to reduce the likelihood of a siege scenario, but also did everything to make Artsakh as unprepared as possible for such a scenario," the expert noted.
In this regard, he asked a number of questions, in particular, why did Harutyunyan cover up and hide the fact of the disbandment of the Artsakh Defense Army, why did Harutyunyan give the go-ahead to the "new road", why did he help surrender Aghavno and Berdzor?
"Who did everything to prevent the residents of Artsakh in the RA from participating in resistance demonstrations? Who from Artsakh supported the re-election of Nikol (RA Prime Minister - ed.)? Who failed the process of creating strategic stocks of food, fuel, medicines and other essentials for several years? There was opportunity, time and money for this.Who was busy spending huge sums of money on useless construction projects?
Why did the restaurants continue to work after the blockade, why were photos of luxurious tables from Artsakh posted on Instagram? Why did the relatives of some rich people go on holiday abroad? Why does Araik keep silent about the role of Nikol, about his agreements with Nikol, if he really wants to save Artsakh," Vrtanesyan asked.
To understand the true meaning of this sit-in by Arayik, the expert continued, it is necessary to analyze what the target audiences of this action are.
According to him, they are: the people of Artsakh, the population of the Republic of Armenia, the authorities of Azerbaijan and the international community.
"Araik's act conveys to all these spectators the following message: "I despaired, nothing else can be done," Vrtanesyan said. In this regard, the expert advised the people of Artsakh to force Harutyunyan talk about what kind of criminal conspiracies he has with Pashinyan. "Make him answer all the awkward questions. Publish his answers. And then replace him with someone who is not an accomplice in the process of surrendering Artsakh. Because every second of Arayik's sit-in is a white flag fluttering over a fortress," Vrtanesyan summed up.
Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan announced his intention to join the sit-in in Revival Square and gave a week for the international community to resolve the humanitarian situation around Artsakh.
