ArmInfo. On July 6, the International Court of Justice ruled on Armenia's request for an interim measure in the case of Armenia v. Azerbaijan under the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination, which was due to the establishment of a checkpoint by Azerbaijan in the Lachin corridor, the Office of the Representative of Armenia for International Legal Matters reports.
According to the source, "The Court, reaffirming its Order of 22 February 2023, in which it obliged Azerbaijan to take all measures at its disposal to ensure unimpeded movement of persons, vehicles and cargo along the Lachin Corridor in both directions, has found that as of now there is no necessity to modify the Order of 22 February 2023. With this Order, the Court in essence has reaffirmed the necessity of implementing its February 22 Order in the framework of the current situation, and it must be complied to by Azerbaijan."
It should be noted that on June 15, Azerbaijan completely blocked traffic, including for peacekeepers and the ICRC. On June 23, traffic along the Lachin corridor was restored to transport patients from Nagorno- Karabakh to Armenia.
