ArmInfo. "Once again we see Azerbaijan using platform of Non- Aligned Movement its Chairmanship for aggressive anti-Armenian narratives, including distorting causes and essence of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. This violates both very principles of NAM, those of international law, and decisions of international institutions," Ani Badalyan, Spokesperson for Armenia's foreign office, tweeted.
Addressing the Ministerial Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement Coordinating Bureau themed "NAM: United and steadfast in confronting emerging challenges" in, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said, in particular:
"Although Armenia had to recognize Karabakh as a part of Azerbaijan, there are still remnants of armenian armed forces in the territories of Azerbaijan where Russian peacekeepers are temporarily deployed. If Armenia is really interested in achieving the long-awaited peace in the region, then its armed forces must completely leave the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan. Armenian military and para-military elements on the ground should be disarmed.
"Armenia also impedes the opening of Zangazur corridor, which should connect mainland Azerbaijan with its Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, which is another commitment of Armenia deriving from the capitulation act it signed almost three years ago."
