With their false statements, authorities are trying to divert public`s attention from problems facing country- oppositionist

ArmInfo. Speaker  of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Alen Simonyan and  head of the ruling faction "Civil Contract" Hayk Konjoryan, with their hoo disruptive behavior, tried to impede the normal course of the extraordinary meeting, which started on June 26. Gegham Manukyan, MP from the "Armenia" opposition faction, told journalists today.

According to him, the authorities are trying to shift the attention of the public away from the problems facing the country by making false statements. <They have long crossed all <red> lines. It seems to the speaker that he brought the chair of the NA President from home, and he can do whatever he pleases>, the oppositionist noted.

Manukyan added that RA Defense Minister Suren Papikyan, who is in the NA session hall, should have fallen through the ground when a person like Alen Simonyan criticizes former Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan, who has many years of military experience. <They spread falsifications about the millions allegedly stolen by the former minister, that the war was lost allegedly because of such generals, to which, of course, Ohanyan, on behalf of all the soldiers, issued a refutation, and Alen Simonyan at the same time left the meeting room, preferring not to respond to the remarks of the former minister>, Manukyan noted.

He added that the presence of such generals as Seyran Ohanyan ensured the security of Armenia and Artsakh for 30 years.

It should be reminded that today during the extraordinary session of the RA National Assembly representatives of the authorities and the opposition exchanged insults, after which the work break of the National Assembly was announced.
