ArmInfo. Baku responded positively to Yerevan's proposal to hold a working meeting of commissions on delimitation issues between Armenia and Azerbaijan. On June 21 Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan told journalists.
In early June, the 12th meeting of the trilateral working group was held in Moscow under the co- chairmanship of the Deputy Prime Ministers of Armenia - Mher Grigoryan, Russia - Alexei Overchuk and Azerbaijan - Shahin Mustafayev, as reported "in a constructive atmosphere". According to the press service of theGovernment of the Republic of Armenia, significant progress has been registered in agreeing on the mechanisms for organizing the process of opening transport communication between Armenia and Azerbaijan. In particular, a common understanding was reached regarding the implementation of concrete steps to restore and organize the railway communication along the Yeraskh-Julfa-Meghri-Horadiz route.
The parties agreed to continue work within the framework of the tripartite working group. On June 17, Mher Grigoryan sent Shahin Mustafayev a proposal to hold a meeting of commissions on the delimitation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border in order to discuss current problematic issues.
"There is no agreement on on the meeting's location or the exact day, yet, but I assume that the meeting will take place in the near future," Grigoryan told reporters today. It is envisaged to discuss issues related to the work of the commissions on the demarcation of the border.
