ArmInfo.Former state minister of Artsakh Ruben Vardanyan has accused Armenia's Premier Nikol Pashinyan of attempting to question Armenian statehood.
Artsakh is not receiving even humanitarian aid now, and seriously-ill patients cannot be transported to Armenia.
Azerbaijan's actions and official statements demonstrate its attempts to escalate the situation involving both Artsakh and Armenia.
"Regrettably, at this crucial moment, instead of sending the right signals to society and making the right steps, Pashinyan and his government continue disseminating arguments against the fundaments of our statehood.
After his statements recognizing Artsakh as part of Azerbaijan, Pashinyan is making speeches questioning the very existence of Armenian statehood, Mr Vardanyan said.
In this context, he has repeatedly stated that surrendering Artsakh will be disastrous to Armenian statehood.
"Pashinyan proves this with his actions. It turns out that while Aliyev is aiming at Artsakh and Armenia, Pashinyan is striking from the inside at the pillars of our value system: this is the army, religion, statehood, historical memory, the importance of recognizing the Genocide, the Artsakh problem: A policy is being pursued that weakens our immunity, tries to break our national dignity.
At this fateful and fateful moment, it is important that both in Armenia and Artsakh we soberly assess the situation, not succumb to informational and psychological provocations, and not follow false agendas. We have the potential to save Artsakh and get Armenia out of this situation. We are obliged to follow this path, because otherwise we will face the loss of statehood, and we ourselves will be the main culprits for this," Mr Vardanyan concludes.
