ArmInfo.The unblocking of transport and communication links in the South Caucasus will enable all states of the region to establish trade relations. As reported by some Azerbaijani media, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Commanders of the CIS Border Troops-Chairman of the Coordination Service Colonel-General Alexander Manilov said, following the results of the 86th meeting of the Council of Commanders of the Border Troops of the CIS member States in Baku.
"In this regard, trade will be established, contacts between people will be activated," he said. The meeting participants discussed the situation on the external borders of the CIS member states, the issue of organizing the 87th meeting of the Council of Commanders of the Border Troops of the CIS member States and the draft agenda.
The Chairman of the Council stressed that the border department of Armenia also took part in today's meeting in Baku, and expressed hope that a delegation from Azerbaijan would also take part in the meeting in Yerevan.
According to Manilov, the meeting discussed the issue of assessing the situation on the external borders of the CIS countries.
