ArmInfo. The "peace" agreement, the necessity of which many foreign powers are shouting about, will actually be the most crushing blow to the Armenian people. This is stated in the article of the first Prime Minister of post-Soviet Armenia Vazgen Manukyan. "What is happening to us now is a deep-seated conspiracy against our people. When organizing this conspiracy, they used the natural desire of our people to live in a just country and in peaceful conditions," Manukyan said.
Speaking about the enclaves, he noted that their existence was not enshrined in any law of the Soviet Union. They were once transferred to Azerbaijan with the consent of the local authorities, therefore they have no legal force, that is, de jure the enclaves are also the territories of Armenia. <If the enclaves are given to Azerbaijan, then this means providing the enemy with the best opportunities and creating a temptation to continue the war. This agreement will not be a peace agreement, but a military agreement. As for Artsakh, not only is the idea of "let's get rid of Artsakh and live in peace" absurd, but the moral aspect of the issue is actually raised. Show me a case in world history when a nation holds part of its hundreds of thousands of hostages, knowing that they will be killed and displaced, in the vain hope that they will live well. Our people will not live well, and this stigma will not be erased from us for thousands of years. We will not respect ourselves, the next generations will spit in our faces. We make ourselves and our generations unhappy and humiliated by committing an immoral step and national betrayal, getting war in return, not peace>, the ex-premier of Armenia emphasized.
Manukyan pointed to the fact that Armenia, despite its territorial integrity, does not declare the recognition of the right of the people of Artsakh to self-determination and independence and does not contribute to the realization of this right by all political means, which already humiliates the people in the eyes of many other peoples of the world. <How can you live like this? In fact, someone came and destroyed our thousand-year history, some of the people do not understand this, hoping that everything will be fine in the end, and some of the people are making efforts to change all this, but cannot do it. In such a situation, a very important role is played by the military, law enforcement agencies, whose main goal is to protect the state. I am speaking specifically to our law enforcement agencies: you did not swear to defend the current Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, you swore to defend the Motherland, the state, the Constitution and state laws. What Nikol Pashinyan does and wants to do, first of all, contradicts our Constitution and laws, therefore Nikol Pashinyan is no longer legitimate. By his statements, by his actions, and later by his signature, he becomes a state criminal, and by defending a state criminal, you violate your oath, which is also a state crime. I call on the law enforcement agencies to closely monitor what is happening in our country and prevent state crimes in time, being ready to join a large part of the people who resist the implementation of national and state crimes and are trying to prevent a national catastrophe and shame>, Vazgen Manukyan stressed.
