ArmInfo. On June 5, Commissioner for Human Rights of the Republic of Azerbaijan Sabina Aliyeva visited two Armenian servicemen who were kidnapped by the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan from the territory of Armenia on May 26.
Armenian servicemen Artur Hovakimyan and Karen Ghazaryan were a kidnapped from the interpositional road while delivering food to combat positions in the Syunik region of the Republic of Armenia. The pseudo-Azerbaijani justice is incriminating them with "violating the state border of the Republic of Azerbaijan and committing other illegal actions, although it is not specified which ones. "These persons were confidentially received by Commissioner for Human Rights Sabina Aliyeva within the framework of the National Preventive Mechanism, and their appeals were considered on the spot. They had no complaints about the conditions of their detention and treatment, and expressed gratitude to the Azerbaijani state for the conditions created," the statement says.
It is also noted that the detainees were provided with art and information materials, legislative acts and international documents on their rights in Armenian, as well as the possibility of contacting the Ombudsman.
