ArmInfo. The Russian, Armenian and Azerbaijani vice-premiers will meet in a week, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated at a meeting with Armenia's Premier Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
The sides are expected to discuss and settled the controversial issues. "I think it is a good arrangement inspiring hope for settling the unsettled issues," Putin said.
He expressed gratitude for the sides' prompt response to his proposal to hold a regular meeting and voiced hope that it will be a good prerequisite for settling a number of issues. "Much has been done in this format, and in the autumn of 2020 not only hostilities were ended, but also work to unblock the transport links and delimit was launched. Many events have occurred during this period, and I am not going into details now. By and large, despite any problems, I think the situation is progressing toward a settlement. One of the directions is transport links. And three of us have just had a rather detailed discussion, and some issues have remained unsettled. I think these are purely technical issues - and we have talked about it with our Armenian and Azerbaijani partners. It is a question of terms. Of course, the terms must imply accurate understanding of reality and events to follow the signing of relevant documents. And I think, or rather we think - I means three of us - these obstacles are surmountable. By and large, they do not really exist. These are purely technical issues. So we have agreed on holding a meeting in a week," Putin said.
