ArmInfo. One of the members of the dominant parliamentary faction Civil Contract often fails to realize what he says, Aghvan Vardanyan, a member of the Armenia opposition faction, stated in Parliament of May 25.
A few minutes ago a claim was made in Parliament that the dominant faction and opposition are now listening to each other, whereas they used to argue before.
"Regrettably, it is not so. And the cause is the provocations by an MP representing the ruling party, who often fails to realize what he says," Mr Vardanyan said.
According to him, the security guards' actions toward MPs are unacceptable, he added. "We have our tasks, and you have yours, but we are not going to ever put up with such behavior," Mr Vardanyan stated.
In response, Parliament Vice-Speaker Ruben Rubinyan said that actions aimed at torpedoing the Parliament's work must not be put up with. "The Speaker warned both the parties to the incident - Hovik Aghazaryan and Artur Sargsyan. As to the security guards, I saw myself your faction provoking them," Mr Rubinyan said.
An incident involving Artur Sargsyan, a member of the Armenia opposition faction, and Hovik Aghazaryan, a member of the dominant faction, occurred in Armenia's Parliament on May 24. Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan had to invite security guards into the assembly hall and warn both the MPs.
