ArmInfo. The Armenian armed forces did not use Iranian unmanned aerial vehicles against the Azerbaijani army. RA Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan stated this on May 24 during the government hour in the RA National Assembly.
He noted that recently the country's defense department refuted the statements of the Azerbaijani side. The minister called this a continuation of disinformation about the fact that the Armenian Su-30SMs were allegedly transferred to another country. Papikyan noted that on the first day of the armed confrontation near Sotk, on May 11, the Azerbaijani side spread misinformation about the alleged use of Iranian-made drones, but the next day it refuted this information itself, saying that fragments of an Armenian-made UAV were found on Azerbaijani territory. However, just a day later, these UAVs "suddenly became French" and were used by French instructors. "I again officially declare: this is another misinformation of Azerbaijan. A vivid proof of this is the fragments shown to the foreign military attach‚ in Baku," the minister said.
