ArmInfo. If Armenia does not recognize the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, then Azerbaijan can do the same to Armenia. On May 24, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated from the rostrum of the RA National Assembly.
According to him, this means that if Yerevan does not recognize 86.6 thousand square kilometers territory of Azerbaijan, the latter may not recognize 29.8 thousand square kilometers of the territory of Armenia. Moreover, as Pashinyan noted, this conversation is taking place in plain view of the international community. <When Azerbaijan consistently attacks the territories of Armenia, about which we inform our foreign partners, in response, Baku mentions the attacks of the Armenian side on the territory of Azerbaijan>, the RA Prime Minister noted.
He noted that there was and still is an opinion in society that in the event of an attack by Azerbaijan on Armenia, the CSTO will help Yerevan. <The organization itself says it will help by sending 30 strong observers. We have to make a decision here. We can declare that we do not recognize the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan in 86.6 thousand square kilometers, and recognize in 45.6 thousand square kilometers. In their turn, they will say that they know Armenia not by the area of 29.8 thousand square kilometers, but by 8.8 thousand square kilometers. Yes, I confirm that an agreement has been reached in Brussels on the recognition of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan by Armenia on the territory of 86,6 thousand square kilometers, expecting that Azerbaijan will do the same on the territory of Armenia on 29,8 thousand square kilometers>, the head of the Cabinet said. He noted that after the recognition of the Alamata Declaration of 1991, the approval of the agreements reached in Prague and Brussels, the third stage begins, according to which it is necessary to decide on the maps. The Armenian side offers maps of the Soviet Union, in particular maps of the USSR General Staff in 1975. "It seems that this is gradually becoming not only our position, but also finds understanding among our international partners," the RA Prime Minister emphasized.
