ArmInfo. Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the Russian President, commented on the statements of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan regarding the circumstances under which Yerevan may withdraw from the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
"In general, the CSTO has authority among the member states. It demonstrates its effectiveness. As for the statement of the Prime Minister of Armenia, we will continue the dialogue with our Armenian friends and discuss about our further conscientious participation in the CSTO," the Kremlin spokesman said, Gazeta.ru reports.
Earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that Armenia would decide to withdraw from the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) if it considers it an "incompetent" organization. The Prime Minister also noted that in this case, Armenia will solve its security issues on its own.
