WHO strongly condemns developments in Lachin corridor

ArmInfo. The World Health  Organization (WHO) strongly condemns the developments in the Lachin  corridor and on the border of Armenia. Targeting healthcare workers  is unacceptable, WHO delegation members stated at a meeting with  Armenia's Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan.

The WHO delegation stated their willingness to use all diplomatic  channels to condemn such actions. 

Ms Avanesyan thanked WHO Regional Director for Europe Hans Kluge for  his personal engagement in solving the problem. Ms Marthe M. Everard,  Mentor/Coach in Global Public Health and Health System Strengthening,  headed the WHO delegation. 

The sides discussed expansion of Armenia-WHO cooperation, quality  reforms prior to 76th World Health Assembly. 

On May 17, after a 20-day interval, the ICRC could supply essential  goods and medicines to Artsakh through the Lachin corridor.
