Oppositionist to RA authorities: either leave CSTO or stay there and  use all opportunities it provides

ArmInfo.The development of the situation in Armenia and around it testifies to the absence of a  concept of the country's foreign policy. Armen Rustamyan, MP from the "Armenia" opposition faction, stated  to journalists on May 16.

According to him, the concept or line of conduct should be aimed at  ensuring the security of the state and protecting national interests  in international issues, including the issue of membership in the  Collective Security Treaty Organization. < Internal affairs cannot be  brought to public discussion. Either leave the CSTO, or stay in it  and use every opportunity so that the Organization can help the  country in this situation at least to a minimal extent. By worsening  relations with the CSTO, we thereby strike a blow to ourselves>, the  oppositionist said, adding that by doing so, Armenia becomes an  unreliable partner, which is dangerous against the backdrop of the  threats that the country faces daily. <You can't work like that. The  authorities are more eager to destroy everything that exists. Such  statements that Armenia is not a member of any of the security  systems are unacceptable, as long as it is on the map and in  political documents.

" If Artsakh and Armenia were not attacked by the Turkish-Azerbaijani  tandem until 2020, it means that the security system existed and was  functioning. Rustamyan emphasized, adding that Yerevan's  preconditions for a political assessment in the region are a wrong  decision. It is obvious that there are states in the CSTO that do not  accept Yerevan's demands to protect the country's borders, but for  this there is such a format as consensus.
