SIOP Asia 2023 Congress to be held in Armenia with support of Team  Telecom Armenia

ArmInfo.For the first time, Armenia will host the Asian Congress of the International Society of  Pediatric Oncology- SIOP Asia 2023 XV Congress, which will bring together world- renowned doctors and scientists in Yerevan.

Team Telecom Armenia will cooperate with the SIOP Asia 2023 Congress in  order to support the development of the medical field and exchange  experience with international specialists,the company's press service  reports. Team Telecom Armenia CEO Hayk Yesayan, speaking about  cooperation with SIOP Asia 2023, noted that it is important for the  company to support scientific initiatives that bring international  experience, the latest research and technologies to Armenia.  "This  congress is another opportunity to remind that each of us can  contribute to the prevention of the disease of the century, cancer,"  he said.

According to the source, during the event, which will be held in  Armenia from May 18-21, the specifics of diagnosis and treatment of  various types of cancer, the latest approaches to drug, radiation and  surgical treatment, the organization of oncological and hematological  services, separate symposiums and seminars- discussions on the most  important areas will be held.

The International Society of Pediatric Oncology (SIOP) is the only  organization in the world dedicated entirely to the study and  treatment of all aspects of childhood and adolescent cancer, as well  as to the development and expansion of knowledge in this field. The  congress aims to bring the world's pediatric oncology community  together to share the latest research results, ideas, and  developments in all areas of pediatric oncology and hematology.

Chairman of the Organizing Committee of SIOP Asia 2023, Head of  Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Armenia  Gevorg  Tamamyan noted that the Congress is the most important medical event  of the year, which will help increase the level of recognizability of  Armenia.

"Heads of leading industry organizations and universities will be  hosted, which is another opportunity to present ourselves to the  international community as a country with the best specialists and  potential. It is encouraging that such like-minded companies  represented by Team Telecom Armenia, who share our motto "Together  Against Cancer", are participating in such responsible activities, he  said.

A conference to be held in 2023 will also be devoted to this mission,  during which world-famous specialists in the field, heads of  organizations and scientific commissions from all over the world will  speak: USA, China, Japan, Russia, India, France, Germany, Italy, the  Netherlands, Belgium , Spain, Lebanon, Great Britain, Greece, Czech  Republic, Lithuania, Sweden, etc.
