ArmInfo. Artsakh must remain Armenian and future Armenian generations must be sure that they have their future of dignity in their homeland, former state minister of Artsakh Ruben Vardanyan said.
"Artsakh is entirely united about this idea and goal. We have no other goal. We have the will and spirit of accord on the principles of achieving this goal. No result can be achieved without an idea, without determined patriots united about the right idea. It is encouraging that for the last few months the ideas and steps have been worked up by people willing to cooperate and reach an agreement. I am proud the participants are trusting me as organizer and coordinator of this important work. In Artsakh streets I have not met anyone failing to realize the crucial moment. But putting the idea into practice requires requires well-thought-out steps," Mr Vardanyan said.
Over the past two months, a number of political and public circles, intellectuals and representatives of various fields have actively been involved in discussions on Artsakh's future and in developing a roadmap.
"It has been submitted to the Artsakh president, National Assembly and Security Council and is sufficient for being turned into a plan of action. As a result of this work most of us agreed on a need for establishing an Artsakh Security Foundation, which would be the center of unity. And this is not rallying around individual persons or political forces, but around Artsakh's future, the idea of restoring its integrity and preserving Armenian Artsakh. We are standing for our future, seeking to achieve this goal not only in word, but also in deed. We must find the strength to put everything aside - disagreements - and move on toward a common approach to real actions. The situation is for us to either unite, doing our best to change the course of events and forcing our will, or yield to regular provocations disuniting and disabling us. Our Homeland's destiny is at stake, so personal interests and posts are becoming senseless. During the coming three or four days, we will be able to discuss the issue of Artsakh Security and Development Foundation in detail," Mr Vardanyan said.
