ArmInfo. Members of the Armenia-USA Parliamentary Friendship Group in Washington continue a series of meetings with representatives of both state bodies and authoritative Think Tanks.
As the press sevice on the RA NA reports, "The members of the Armenia-USA RA NA Friendship Group - Head of the Friendship Group, Head of the NA Civil Contract Faction Hayk Konjoryan, Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Sargis Khandanyan, MPs of the Civil Contract Faction Vahagn Aleksanyan, Hripsime Grigoryan, and MP of Armenia Faction Irina Gasparyan, RA Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the USA Lilit Makunts took part in the panel discussion jointly organized with the International Republican Institute in the Think Tank of the Atlantic Council, also with the participation of Senior Director of the Atlantic Council's Eurasia Center John Herbst, President of the International Republican Institute Daniel Twining, Regional Program Director for Eurasia Stephen Nix, as well as other representatives of the International Republican Institute.
In the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace Fund, the delegation met with the Director and Senior Fellow for Russia and Eurasia Program Eugene Rumer and Senior Fellow of the same Program Paul Stronski.
The members of the RA delegation presented the security situation existing around Armenia, drew the attention to the illegal blockade of the Lachin Corridor by Azerbaijan and to the regularly repeating provocative actions. The ongoing peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan and existing regional challenges were discussed."
