ArmInfo.On May 12, RA Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan received Christine Weigand, Representative of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Armenia.
According to the press service of the Armenian Government, during the meeting the Deputy Prime Minister stressed the importance of the programs implemented by the UN Children's Fund in Armenia,, highlighting the projects implemented in the fields of education, healthcare and social protection.
Mher Grigoryan presented the humanitarian crisis that arose in Nagorno-Karabakh as a result of Azerbaijan's illegal blockade of the Lachin corridor, highlighting the grave consequences for children. Christine Weigand highly appreciated the cooperation with the Government of the Republic of Armenia, noting the main directions of the programs implemented by UNICEF.
The interlocutors exchanged views on global challenges and issues related to the proper upbringing of children in high technology.
