ArmInfo. The mission of the European Union, which monitors the borders of Armenia, itself stated that it was armed only with binoculars and could not do anything with the current situation on the borders. Anna Mkrtchyan, member of the RA National Assembly from the "I have the honor" opposition faction, stated this to journalists on May 11 before the court session on the case of the third president of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan.
Moreover, according to the MP, the representatives of the mission themselves have previously stated that all the information that is collected in Armenia is immediately and directly sent to Azerbaijan.
<They have repeatedly stated that if at least a year, be it spring, autumn or winter, during which there will be no shots, this will be their victory. But both winter and spring passed, and the attacks from Azerbaijan still continued," Mkrtchyan noted.
The MP noted that RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan knows very well that the EU observers did not come here to record the facts of encroachment on the territorial integrity of Armenia, to draw up reports and, as a result, to consider sanctions against the Azerbaijani side. "He knows perfectly well that he invites them here to once again help defend the interests of the Turkish-Azerbaijani tandem," Mkrtchyan said, adding that Pashinyan does not see a problem in the fact that monitoring is carried out from the territory of Armenia, and data is transmitted to Azerbaijan.
The MP also noted that the Armenian authorities are doing everything in order to neutralize persons they do not like, <including the victorious President Serzh Sargsyan>, in order to achieve the goal. <All those who observe the trial of the Serzh Sargsyan case could not help but pay attention to the fact that all those witnesses who are involved in this trial have changed their initial testimonies within just one week, and now speak from the positions that suit the prosecutor's office>, the MP said.
She noted that the potential corpus delicti is present precisely in these testimonies of the so-called witnesses. "Everything is being done to divert public attention from such phenomena as the shootings in Sotk, the occupation of Vardenis, the capture of the village of Tegh, the blockade of 120,000 residents of Artsakh. All this is done so that the victorious president does not have the opportunity to exert any influence on all these processes," Mkrtchyan noted.
