ArmInfo.Threats continue to be poured from Ankara against Yerevan because of tmonument to the heroes of Operation Nemesis erected in the Armenian capital. Thus, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said today that "Turkey has made concessions in the process of normalizing relations with Armenia."
At the same time, he added that Ankara took these steps to contribute to the process of normalizing relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. In this vein, he accused Armenia of insincerity. "But they showed once again that they are not sincere ... We do not accept the installation of a monument to those who killed our Ottoman pashas and Azerbaijani brothers. The Turkish side warned official Yerevan in connection with the dismantling of the monument and will take new steps towards Armenia on this issue," Cavusoglu said, noting that the matter will not end with the closure of airspace.
It should be noted that on April 29, Turkey closed its airspace for flights of the Armenian airline Flyone Armenia to Europe without warning, and the airline's Paris-Yerevan flight was forced to land in Chisinau, and only on the night of April 30 was able to return to Zvartnots airport. And already on May 2, the Turkish aviation authorities did not allow FLYONE ARMENIA for overflight through Turkish airspace. In view of this, the company was forced to cancel the Yerevan-Paris-Yerevan flight.
In this regard, Cavusoglu stated that Turkey closed the sky for Armenian planes "in response to a "provocation" in Yerevan, namely the opening of a monument to the participants in the Operation Nemesis in the capital of the Republic of Armenia. The monument was erected in Yerevan on April 25. Let us add that members of the Armenian Secret Army for the Liberation of Armenia (ASALA), within the framework of Operation Nemesis killed the leaders of the Ottoman Empire involved in organizing the Armenian Genocide, as well as the leaders of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic involved in the massacre Armenians in Baku in 1918. It was named after the Greek goddess of vengeance, Nemesis.
