ArmInfo. After Azerbaijan established an illegal checkpoint on the road connecting Artsakh with Armenia on the border with Armenia (Lachin (Kashatagh) corridor) on April 23, four communities of the Berdadzor sub-district of the Shushi region of Artsakh (Hin Shen, Mets Shen, Yeghtsahogh and Lisagor) were became under a bilateral blockade, deprived of all possibilities of communication with Armenia and other parts of Artsakh.
This was announced by Artsakh State Minister Gurgen Nersisyan.
According to him, due to Azerbaijani obstacles, all deliveries of humanitarian aid to the residents of these villages have also stopped, and in recent days there has been an acute humanitarian crisis there, without supplies of basic necessities.
"Today, we were finally able to send one truck with food, medicines and other essential goods to the residents of these settlements through the peacekeepers of the Russian Federation. Azerbaijan continues the complete blockade of Artsakh both through the illegal checkpoint on the Artsakh-Armenian border, and through the road near Shushi, already openly illegally blocked by the Azerbaijani state>, the state minister noted.
He informed that humanitarian supplies in Artsakh are carried out by Russian peacekeeping troops, and in very limited volumes. " We are making additional efforts to restore transportation by the International Committee of the Red Cross," he said.
