ArmInfo. In gross violation of the trilateral statement of November 9, 2020, and disseminating disinformation on "continuing military supplies from Armenia to Nagorno-Karabakh," Azerbaijan has blocked the bridge over the Hakari river, on the borer between Armenia and Artsakh, which is on the Lachin corridor in the responsibility zone of the Russian peacekeepers, Artak Beglaryan, Advisor to the Artsakh State Minister, has written.
"The Artsakh authorities strongly condemn one more provocation by Azerbaijan and consider it a criminal step aimed at strengthening the blockade of Artsakh and ethnic cleansing, which violates both the trilateral statement, legally binding ruling by the International Court and other fundamental international legal norms," Mr Beglaryan stated.
Azerbaijan's claims about military supplies are false. First, there have never been such supplies. Secondly, if Azerbaijan is in full control of the cargo traffic by Russian peacekeepers and ICRC along the blocked road near Shushi, such supplies cannot be possible. No evidence is available.
"In fact, on the 133rd day of the blockade, Artsakh has found itself doubly blockaded by Aliyev's dictatorial regime - near Shushi and near the Hakari bridge.
"All international organizations must out an end to Azerbaijan's criminal behavior," Mr Beglaryan wrote.
On April 23, Azerbaijan officially announced the establishment of a checkpoint on the Lachin-Stepanakert road. In doing so, Azerbaijan's State Border Service cited "continuing military supplies from Armenia to Nagorno-Karabakh."
Authorities in Nagorno-Karabakh have accused Baku of violating the terms of the Moscow-brokered 2020 ceasefire agreement under which the road passing through a five-kilometer-wide area known as the Lachin corridor should be under the control of Russian peacekeepers.
