


ArmInfo. On April 16, Armenia's Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan visited the Azerbaijani servicemen arrested in Armenia's territory.
Ms Manasyan saw the Azerbaijani detainees' living conditions and was informed of their rights, including the right to health protection.
The Azerbaijani servicemen did not complain about any mistreatment, including psychological pressure.
Ms Manasyan recorded the fact of the Azerbaijani detainees being provided with normal conditions, food and hygiene product, as well as with necessary medical aid.
The Azerbaijani detainees were informed of the charged brought against them, with a free public defender and interpreter at their service. Ms Manasyan explained to the Azerbaijani detainees the mechanisms of protecting their rights and the restrictions imposed on them under a court verdict, order and terms of appealing the verdict and procedure of applying to the Human Rights Defender.
One of the Azerbaijani servicemen was detained in Syunik, Armenia, on April 9, and the other on April 13. The second serviceman is suspected of murdering a civilian in Armenia. The Azerbaijani serviceman had the victim's mobile phone, with a video showing him telling about "beheading the Armenian."
