ArmInfo. In order to deploy border troops on the borders of Armenia with Azerbaijan, one should be aware of these borders.
This was stated on April 14 at a briefing in the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia by Hayk Mamijanyan, a MP from the "I have the honor" opposition faction, commenting at the request of journalists on the statement of Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan that if border troops are deployed on the border, then it is possible to reduce the escalation of tension and prevention of hostilities. "Is Ararat Mirzoyan aware of where this border will pass, where the border guard troops will be deployed?", the oppositionist answered the question with a question. He added that according to the policy chosen by the current authorities, we are most likely talking about permanent retreat.
"I got the impression that the current authorities have only one border - their own dachas and the prime minister's office, since they only protect them.," the oppositionist said, adding that he was surprised when, as a result of the latest aggression, , it turned out that the building of the National Assembly is better guarded than the borders of the country. Mamijanyan emphasized that there can be no question of security either in Armenia or in Artsakh, when for two days the Azerbaijani killer calmly moved around the territory of the republic, killing, according to preliminary data, the watchman of the Zangezur copper-molybdenum plant. <If the same Azerbaijani said that Nikol was a traitor, he would have been found very quickly>, Mamijanyan noted. Against all this background, the MP continued, there are questions to the RA MFA. <Does the RA MFA know that the EU monitoring mission is sharing information with Azerbaijan? How is it that Armenia does not receive EU reports, while Azerbaijan does?", the parliamentarian said, adding that an appropriate agreement is needed to deploy the EU observer mission on the RA borders, and it is important to know at what stage it is now. "In the meantime, we fix that Baku receives more information from the EU observer mission than Yerevan," the oppositionist stated.
