Moscow: Armed incident near Tegh community once again confirms need  for Baku and Yerevan to show mutual restraint

ArmInfo.An armed incident took place on April 11 at the contact line of Armenian-Azerbaijani troops in the vicinity of Tegh community. Official representative of  the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, announced this on  April 12 during a briefing.  

"Unfortunately, according to the available data, there are losses and wounded. The representatives of the Russian armed forces and the border guards of the Federal  Security Service of the Russian Federation who were in the area  immediately contacted the responsible persons in Armenia, Azerbaijan  and took measures to de-escalate the situation. The incident once  again confirms the need for Baku and Yerevan to show mutual  restraint, as well as strict observance of a set of measures of  tripartite agreements between the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and  Armenia," she concluded.

On April 11 units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire on the  servicemen of the Armenian Armed Forces, conducting engineering work  in the area of the Tegh community. According to preliminary data, the  Armenian side has casualties and wounded.  The servicemen of the  Azerbaijani Armed Forces drove up to the servicemen of the Armenian  Armed Forces in a car, there was a fight, and then the enemy began to  shoot at the Armenian servicemen. The armed forces of Armenia lost 4  servicemen, officially there are three losses on the side of the  enemy.

The servicemen who who fell fighting for their Motherland are: Artur  Sahakyan (born 1999), Mkrtich Harutyunyan (born 1989), Henrik  Kocharyan (born 1997), Narek Sargsyan (born 1994).  

Let us add that all actions took place on the sovereign territory of  the Republic of Armenia. Earlier, enemy forces captured up to 9 sq km  of the sovereign territories of the Republic of Armenia in this area.
