RA Deputy Defense Minister: Possibility of new provocations by  Azerbaijan is not ruled out

ArmInfo.RA Deputy Defense Minister Arman Sargsyan does not rule out the possibility of new provocations by the Azerbaijani armed forces. He stated this to  reporters on April 12.

"Nothing can be ruled out," the deputy minister said, refusing to  provide full information about yesterday's incident around the  village of Tegh in the Syunik region of Armenia. "Yesterday we  provided information on all the changes very intensively, and we will  continue in the same spirit," Sargsyan said.

Answering the question that the Azerbaijanis are deployed on the  territory of the Republic of Armenia and carry out fortification  work, the Deputy Minister noted that the Armenian side is also  carrying out similar work. "We are also carrying out engineering  work, and yesterday's provocation took place exactly at the place  where this work was carried out," Sargsyan said, urging to follow  official reports.

On April 11 units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire on the  servicemen of the Armenian Armed Forces, conducting engineering work  in the area of the Tegh community. According to preliminary data, the  Armenian side has casualties and wounded.  The servicemen of the  Azerbaijani Armed Forces drove up to the servicemen of the Armenian  Armed Forces in a car, there was a fight, and then the enemy began to  shoot at the Armenian servicemen. The armed forces of Armenia lost 4  servicemen, officially there are three losses on the side of the  enemy. All actions took place on the sovereign territory of the  Republic of Armenia. Earlier, enemy forces captured up to 9 sq km of  the sovereign territories of the Republic of Armenia in this area.
