ArmInfo.The majority of respondents in Armenia are convinced that Western sanctions against Russia have a negative impact on Armenia. This is evidenced by the results of the survey: "A conventional war" conducted by the MPG consulting company (Marketing Professional Group - the exclusive representative of the International Association GALLUP in Armenia).
So, in response to the corresponding question, 45% of respondents answered that they definitely affect, 35.1% - rather affect, 10.8% - rather do not affect, 7.6% - do not affect, 1.5% - found it difficult to answer.
At the same time, in April last year, 53.9% of respondents believed that they will affect, 23.7% - rather affect, 9.6% - rather do not affect, 8.2% - do not affect, 4.7% - found it difficult to answer. And in December last year, 44.1% of respondents believed that they will affect, 34.1% rather affect, 11% rather do not affect, 6.5% did not affect, 4.3% found it difficult to answer. An interesting picture is emerging in terms of the attitude of respondents to sanctions against Russia from the West.

The number of those who support sanctions has increased: they were 19.8% (in December last year there were 17.8%, in August 2022 - 9.5%, in April 2022 - 8.4%), 18.6% rather support sanctions (19.9% of respondents thought so in December, 12.8% in August 2022, 11% in April 2022), 21% of respondents rather do not support sanctions (in December last year there were 22.3%, 19.4% -in August 2022, 17.8%- in April 2022 ), 36.5% of Armenian respondents do not support sanctions (in December last year there were 31.5%, 37.8%- in August 2022 , 55%- in April 2022 ), 45% of respondents found it difficult to answer (in December last year there were 8.5%, 20.5% in August 2022, 7.9% in April 2022 ). At the same time, the majority of respondents have a positive attitude towards resettlers - 79.3% considers Russians move to Armenia positively, 20% - negatively, 0.8% - found it difficult to answer. Similar data with slight fluctuations were in the past year. At the same time, the vast majority of respondents believe that moving and starting a business in Armenia will have a positive impact on the Armenian economy. This opinion is shared by 80% of respondents, 17.9% of respondents consider that it will have a negative impact, 2.3%- found it difficult to answer. On this issue, the position of the Armenian respondents also did not undergo fundamental changes and fluctuated at the level of 78-85%.
It should be noted that the survey was conducted through telephone calls to residents of Armenia from March 23 to March 27, 2023. The sample size was 1100, the sampling error was +/- 3%.
