ArmInfo. Tonight, the Azerbaijani armed forces blocked the Goris-Stepanakert highway between Aghavno and Tegh villages. Press release of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Artsakh Republic reads.
"The new Tegh-Kornidzor unpaved road of Syunik province bypassing the closed road is already ready, which connects to the new Kornidzor-Hin Shen road put into operation in August 2022 ("Berdzor (Lachin) Corridor"). Asphalting works of the Tegh-Kornidzor road are in progress by the Republic of Armenia," Artsakh MIA notes.
"The Ministry of Internal Affairs informs that the Tegh-Kornidzor unpaved road is passable and, taking into account the ongoing blockade of Artsakh, it is possible to carry out humanitarian supplies to Artsakh by Russian peacekeepers and the International Committee of the Red Cross. By the way, that road, on the border of the Artsakh Republic, near the bridge on the River Hakari, is controlled by Russian peacekeeping troops. To recap, since December 12, 2022, the Azerbaijani side has closed the Shushi section of the interstate highway connecting Artsakh to Armenia. And for 108 days already, the population of Artsakh has been deprived of communication with the external world," they concluded.
