ArmInfo. Chairman of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) of the Republic of Armenia Rustam Badasyan received newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States to Armenia Kristina Kvien.
According to the State Revenue Committee of Armenia, Badasyan expressed hope that the effective cooperation of the parties will expand and be continuous.
During the meeting, Rustam Badasyan presented to the Ambassador the main guidelines proclaimed by the RA government in the tax and customs sectors, the main mission and priorities of the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia, as well as administration tools in the tax and customs secyors. He also spoke about close cooperation with American partners and the broad agenda of existing programs within the framework of this cooperation.
During the meeting, the possibility of holding a joint opening of the SRC Dog Training Center, reconstructed with the support of the American side, was also discussed.
Ambassador Kristina Kvien highly appreciated the cooperation of the parties in the field of customs and tax administration and confirmed the readiness of the American side to continue further work. The Ambassador, among other priorities, emphasized the commitment of the American side to the fight against drug trafficking and cooperation with the Armenian side.
According to the source, the parties highly appreciated the effective working relations between the U.S. Embassy and the State Revenue Committee, as well as the joint efforts aimed at strengthening and deepening the bilateral Armenian-American relations. It is noted that a bilateral agreement was reached on the continuation of effective steps towards further expansion of cooperation and implementation of the agreements reached.
