ArmInfo. At the meeting of the League of Arab States, Armenia presented its vision of the development of the situation in the region. RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated this on March 22 during the government hour in the RA National Assembly, answering the MP's question about the results of the visit of the Foreign Minister to Egypt and participation in the conference of the Foreign Ministers of the Arab League member states.
According to Mirzoyan, recently Azerbaijan has been trying to give the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict a religious background. Meanwhile, the Arab countries with which Yerevan maintains friendly relations are well aware that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, like the situation around Armenia, has no religious motivation. <Azerbaijan is trying to present the problem as an inter-religious conflict, thereby trying to enlist diplomatic support, primarily from the Arab states. However, at meetings with our partners we managed to thoroughly present and explain the situation. According to my impression, and I think this is an objective impression, our Arab partners have the perception that the conflict and problems with Azerbaijan have no any religious background", the head of the Armenian Foreign Ministry said.
The Minister added that an exhibition was opened in Cairo on the days of the conference, the visitors of which can be personally convinced and see Armenia's high respect for all religions and cultures.
