Armenia`s Investigative Committee Head meets with Iranian Ambassador 

ArmInfo.Head of the Investigative Committee of Armenia Argishti Kyaramyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and  Plenipotentiary of Iran to Armenia Abbas Badakhshan Zohouri.  

According to the report, Kyaramyan highly appreciated the high level  of partnership relations established between the RA Investigative  Committee and the Iranian Embassy in Armenia, which fully corresponds  to the spirit and common goals of warm, friendly and multi-vector  relations between the two friendly countries. The Chairman of the RA  IC expressed readiness for further expansion of cooperation, also  using the possibilities of operational communication with the newly  opened Iranian Consulate General in Kapan and the agreements reached  in this regard.

The Iranian Ambassador thanked Kyaramyan for his personal  contribution and consistent steps to develop close cooperation, which  contributes to the rapid exchange of information on topical issues  arising in the field of criminal law and their solution based on full  respect for each other's legislation.

During the meeting, the parties discussed joint efforts in the fight  against transnational crimes, in particular, against drug smuggling  and considered the possibilities of using more flexible methods of  bilateral cooperation in this area.

They also discussed the possibility of exchanging up-to-date  information about citizens of the two countries who are under  criminal prosecution, and increasing the efficiency of investigative  actions.
