ArmInfo. Official Baku is seeking to embellish the March 1 meeting between representatives of Armenia and Artsakh at the headquarters of the Russian peacekeepers, Tigran Abrahamyan, a member of the opposition parliamentary bloc With Honor, wrote in a Facebook post.
Azerbaijan is stating that by means of such meetings it will integrate Artsakh Armenians into Azerbaijani society, whereas the Artsakh government is objecting, stating that the meeting had a purely technical, humanitarian goal.
"I can say at once that of importance is not declared wishes, but the very essence of the process and its consequences. By creating artificial problems and 'heroically' proposing solutions is forming a broad environment for permanent contacts and cooperation with the Artsakh people, which is one of the major steps toward integration. Well, you state you are unwilling. Theoretically speaking, the decision- makers in Artsakh are only thinking of solving the problems. But the fact is that Azerbaijan's tactics will lead the process to the point of no return as the process is now following the Azerbaijan-set rules of the game," the MP wrote.
As to Artsakh's principal representative at the latest meetings, Artsakh Security Council Secretary Samvel Shahramanyan, Mr Abrahamyan pointed out that mass media have lately actively discussed his presence despite the fact that he has no wide experience.
"Nevertheless, he is a well-trained guy capable of dealing with critical situations. But the problem is not his person, but the policy and decisions pertaining to his work. I am sure Mr Shahramanyan is well aware he is in a minefield without a deminer and any careless step may cause an explosion," the MP writes.
