ArmInfo.Moscow confirmed its readiness to provide a platform for negotiations between the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, who is on an official visit to Baku, stated this on February 28 at a joint press conference with his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov.
He reminded that Moscow planned to hold such a meeting in December 2022, but the Armenian side announced that its participation in that meeting was not possible.
<After that, Moscow confirmed its readiness to provide a platform for negotiations between the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan. The Azerbaijani side stated that it was ready, the Armenian side noted that it did not object in general, but so far it has not given a final answer. I do not think that we will be too persistent in offering, but both sides are well aware of them>, - said Lavrov.
It should be reminded that on December 23 last year, a meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan was planned in Moscow. At the last moment, the Armenian side refused to participate in the meeting, referring to the fact that Azerbaijan had closed the Berdzor corridor. However, at that time, the head of Armenia flew to Munich to meet with the President of Azerbaijan, and the RA Foreign Minister visited Turkey.
