Sergey Lavrov arrives in Baku on official visit  

ArmInfo.Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov arrived in Azerbaijan on an official two-day visit.

According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the visit will coincide  with an important event in the history of bilateral relations between  these countries: the signing of the declaration on allied cooperation  between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Azerbaijan at the  highest level on February 22, 2022

It is expected that Lavrov will be received by Aliyev. His  negotiations with Bayramov are also envisaged.

It is planned to comprehensively discuss the state and prospects of  bilateral cooperation, based on the mutual disposition for the  progressive development of allied relations, to exchange views on the  most pressing aspects of the regional and international agenda,  including issues of Armenian -Azerbaijani normalization.

Sergey Lavrov will also take part in the thematic conference:   "Russian-Azerbaijani relations in the 21st century: Strategic  partnership in the context of regional security".
