ArmInfo. On February 8, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received a delegation led by Croatian Foreign Minister Gordan Grlic-Radman.
According to the press service of the Prime Minister, Pashinyan welcomed Radman's visit and expressed confidence that it would contribute to the development and expansion of relations between the two countries in various fields. According to Nikol Pashinyan, Armenian-Croatian ties have great potential for development and stressed the need for active cooperation between the two governments. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of deepening cooperation with Croatia as well as with an EU member state and noted the fact of effective cooperation with the EU for the development of democracy in Armenia.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Croatia noted that effective negotiations were held with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and the prospects for the development of bilateral political and economic cooperation were discussed. According to him, Croatia is interested in developing ties in various sectors of the economy, including tourism and high technologies.
He noted that Armenia has achieved great success in strengthening democracy and stressed the readiness to work closely with the RA government in the direction of promoting reforms.
The parties also exchanged views on the processes taking place in the region.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan touched upon the steps taken to overcome the humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh as a result of Azerbaijan's illegal blockade of the Lachin corridor. The Prime Minister also stressed the fact of another violation by Azerbaijan of the statement of November 9, 2020 and stressed the importance of the attention of the international community and an adequate response to it. In this regard, the discussions held in the European Parliament and the clear demands put forward regarding the unblocking of the Lachin corridor were especially noted.
The importance of the activity of the EU civil mission in Armenia in consolidating peace and stability in the region was mutually emphasized.
