ArmInfo. Armenia received another response from Baku on proposals for a peace agreement. Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan announced on February 7 in Berlin at a joint press conference with German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock.
The Minister recalled that in December the next meeting with the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation was planned in Moscow. "Due to the situation with the blocking of the Lachin corridor by Azerbaijan, Armenia postponed participation in the meeting. Despite this, we submitted our proposals. A few days ago we received another response and reaction from the Azerbaijani side," Mirzoyan said.
The head of the Foreign Ministry stressed that this is a long, step-by-step process. "We continue to work. This is very important in the sense that, although the Lachin corridor is closed and challenges remain, the negotiation process has not stopped. It is a different matter that Baku's anti-Armenian rhetoric and actions do not contribute, , rather they hinder that process, whether it is about Armenia or Artsakh, there are aggressive actions on the ground and the consequences of the aggression against Armenia, the humanitarian crisis in Artsakh have not been eliminated," Mirzoyan said.
At the same time, he reassured that under any circumstances, official Yerevan is resolute in advancing the peace agenda and will continue efforts to achieve lasting peace in the region.
