ArmInfo.Member of the National Assembly of Armenia from the ruling "Civil Contract" faction Gurgen Arsenyan does not regret his statement in the country's  parliament.

"I serve the national interests of Armenia, and for me the interests  of 3 million citizens of the country are a priority. The interests of  120,000 residents of Artsakh are included in the set of state  interests of Armenia.  But the interests of Armenia are a priority  for me>, the MP told journalists on February 7.

Answering the question about whether the previous statement was  edited, Arsenyan expressed hope that the propaganda noise raised in  the mass media, which is directed against the RA authorities, will  lead to the intensification of passions both in Armenia and  Artsakh.<There is an information attack on the country's authorities.  During discussions in the National Assembly along the Lachin  corridor, voices were even heard about the formation of suicide  attackers to change the current authorities. Naturally, I had to  express my opinion, according to which the change of power can take  place not with the use of suicide attackers, but by holding  elections," Arsenyan noted, pointing out the unacceptability of the  opposition's allegations that by their actions the authorities "pour  water on the mill" Turkish - Azerbaijani tandem.

It should be noted that a few days earlier, Gurgen Arsenyan expressed  indignation at the fact that the opposition constantly talks about  120,000 Artsakh residents under blockade, forgetting about 3 million  citizens of Armenia. According to him, we need to think about the  latter, and correctly prioritize in the face of regional challenges.  This statement caused a wave of criticism both in Armenia and in  Artsakh.
