ArmInfo.Recently, in official statements of the representatives of the Republic of Armenia, in particular, in the speeches of some members of the National Assembly, statements are often heard that cast doubt on the significance of the Artsakh national liberation struggle and the right of the people of Artsakh to self-determination, causing a split within the nation. This is stated in the statement of the five factions of the National Assembly of Artsakh.
The statement recalls that Gurgen Arsenyan, a member of the "Civil Contract" faction of the National Assembly of Armenia, recently made a similar statement.
"All factions of the National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh, while strictly condemning such dangerous behavior, express confidence that such statements not only do not proceed from the interests of the Armenian people, but also pour water on the mill of the Turkish-Azerbaijani tandem.
We are waiting for the official reaction of the factions represented in the RA National Assembly.
In order to exclude such irresponsible statements in the future, we urge you to discuss the issue in the ethics commission," the statement says.
At the same time, confidence is expressed that the challenges facing the two Armenian republics can only be countered by the Armenia-Artsakh-Diaspora trinity.
The statement was signed by "Azat Hayrenik" faction, "United Motherland" faction, "Justice" faction, "Armenian Revolutionary Federation" faction, "Democratic Party of Artsakh" faction.
It should be noted that a few days earlier Gurgen Arsenyan, MP of the "Civil Contract" faction of the National Assembly of Armenia, expressed indignation at the fact that the opposition is constantly talking about 120,000 people from Artsakh who are under blockade. He noted that 3 million Armenians live in Armenia and it is necessary correctly prioritize in the face of regional challenges.
