ArmInfo. Former Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia Vahram Dumanyan has been appointed Advisor to the President of Armenia. The corresponding decree was signed by the head of state.
"On the basis of part 1 of article 39 of the Constitution, as well as parts 5 and 9, article 8 of the Law "On Public Service", appoint Vahram Dumanyan as an adviser to the President of the Republic of Armenia from February 2, 2023," the decree of the President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan reads.
It should be noted that Vahram Dumanyan was dismissed on the same day as Deputy Prime Minister Hambartsum Matevosyan on December 12 last year. The reasons for the dismissals were not reported, however, some Armenian media outlets linked these two with the results of the Bryosov University rector's election, which was not a suitable candidate for the authorities.. Dumanyan was dismissed as a person holding the relevant position, and Matevosyan as the head of the board of trustees of the university.
