ArmInfo. The Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia revealed shortages in the central engineering warehouse of the Engineering Troops Department of the RA Armed Forces.
According to the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office, the inspections were carried out from November 2, 2022 to January 12, 2023.
In particular, an extraordinary inventory was carried out; the legality and validity of the processes for receiving, accounting and distributing material resources were checked; the conformity of the quality indicators of material resources supplied for the needs of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia with the requirements determined by the terms of reference of the procurement contracts was checked.
"As a result of the comprehensive inspections, a shortage of 93 million 723 thousand 544 drams and a surplus of 4 million 355 thousand 725 drams were recorded, as well as material resources were identified that did not meet the requirements determined by the technical conditions of the contracts for a total of 198 million 590 thousand 916 drams, including spare parts of engineering equipment," the Prosecutor General's Office noted, adding that five criminal cases were initiated on the facts revealed.
