ArmInfo.RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, who is on a working visit to Brussels, met with EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia Toivo Klaar and Senior Foreign Policy Adviser to the President of the European Council Magdalena Grono.
According to the press service of the RA MFA, the parties stressed the importance of the decision to deploy a new EU civilian observation mission in Armenia, noting that this would contribute to ensuring security and stability in the region.
The meeting discussed the situation resulting from the illegal blocking of the Lachin corridor by Azerbaijan. The RA Foreign Minister stressed that Azerbaijan, by its actions and rhetoric, undermines Armenia's efforts to establish peace in the South Caucasus.
An exchange of views on the process of settling the Armenian- Azerbaijani relations took place.
