ArmInfo.Most of all, Yerevan residents are concerned about the situation with public transport. This is stated in the survey: "Voice of Yerevan residents", conducted by MPG company - the exclusive representative of GALLUP International in Armenia.
In particular, when asked what is the most urgent problem in Yerevan, 37.1% of respondents mentioned the insufficient work of public transport, 25.1% of respondents mentioned the problem with garbage collection, 13.3% of respondents - the situation with inflation / price increases, 11.1% of respondents consider that unemployment to be the most urgent problem of the capital. Also, 10.9% of respondents were concerned about the environmental situation, 6.4% of respondents complained about poor service in medical institutions, 5.9% of respondents were dissatisfied with the educational system, 5.5% of respondents mentioned cleanliness, safety and traffic as the main problem (traffic jams, parking lots). At the same time, 5.4% of respondents are concerned about illegal construction, 4.8% of respondents - the lack of green areas, 3.9% of respondents - the poor condition of roads, 2.9% of respondents - a large number of stray dogs, 2% of respondents - poor lighting, 1.9 % of respondents - the work of elevators, and 6% of respondents - found it difficult to answer.
It should be noted that a year earlier the situation was almost the same, with some percentage deviation.
At the same time, as positive changes carried out by the municipality during the year in the capital, 21.7% of respondents indicated an improvement in the situation with garbage collection, 20.3% - the renewal of the bus fleet, 15.4% - the improvement of parks, 14.6% - increase in green areas, 13.3% - improvement of the general appearance of the city, 12.9% - improvement of courtyards. Also, 11.3% are satisfied with the work on asphalting the streets, 8.3% - are satisfied with the change of elevators, 6.3% - with the creation of playgrounds, 4.4% - with the installation of benches. And 1.9% of the respondents do not see any positive changes and 6.4% found it difficult to answer.
The general appearance of Yerevan was assessed completely positively by 39.9% (versus 16.9% in 2021), rather positively by 46.9% (50.9% in 2021), rather negatively by 9.9% (18.3% in 2021), and 1% of respondents (11% in 2021) are dissatisfied with the appearance of the capital, 2.4% (3.6% in 2021) found it difficult to answer.
It should be noted that the survey was conducted through telephone calls to residents of Yerevan from December 13 to December 23, 2022, the sample size was 800 people, the sampling error was +/- 3.5%.
