ArmInfo. The ARF Youth Office of Canada organized a rally in support of Artsakh in Vancouver. According to the press service of the ARF Youth Council, Minister of Health in British Columbia Adrian Dix also took part in the protest. The meeting participants called on the Canadian government to hold Azerbaijan accountable for the crimes against humanity committed.
We also add that on January 15, at the initiative of the "Courir Pour La Memoire" association, a march of solidarity with Artsakh was held in Marseille.
According to Nouvelles d'Armenie, the march started from Missak Manouchian Square. The protesters marched to the Paseo del Prado Armenian Cathedral, passing by the Turkish consulate. The protesters condemned the Azerbaijani blockade, as a result of which 120,000 Armenians living in Artsakh are suffering, and called on the international community to take measures to unblock the Lachin Corridor.
Since December 12, 2022, for 36 days now, the Azerbaijani side, under a far-fetched environmental pretext, blocked the only road connecting Artsakh with the outside world. The population of the NKR has been in a blockade for more than a month, deprived of basic means of subsistence. Since January 9, Artsakh has been deprived of the opportunity to receive electricity from Armenia, due to the destructive actions of Azerbaijan. Rolling blackouts occur on a daily basis in the republic. Moreover, from the afternoon of January 12, the enemy also interrupted the communication cable providing the population of the country with Internet-telephone connection. It was restored only on January 14, thanks to the efforts of Russian peacekeepers.
