IC head considers that accusations against two former commanders of  Artsakh Defense Army are justified

ArmInfo.Head of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, Argishti Kyaramyan, considers that, the accusations against two former commanders of the Artsakh Defense Army, Jalal Harutyunyan and Mikayel Arzumanyan, are justified.

In an interview with the Public Television of Armenia, Kyaramyan recalled that after the  44-day war, criminal cases were initiated against the two generals.  Harutyunyan is charged with negligence, which led to serious  consequences, in particular, large losses in manpower and armored  vehicles, as a result of which the reserve forces lost their combat  capability, and the firing positions came under the control of the  enemy. A similar accusation was brought against Arzumanyan. According  to investigators, his actions led to grave consequences: the enemy  armed forces completely took control of the city of Shushi and the  approaches to it, and the Armenian units suffered heavy losses. He  said that Mikayel Arzumanyan is now under arrest, and Jalal  Harutyunyan signed a written commitment not to leave.

At the same time, speaking about the criminal case related to the  hostilities on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border in September 2022, 11  Armenian soldiers are currently being investigated. Most of these  servicemen were arrested, the investigation on 4 episodes was  completed and the materials were submitted to the court.  According  to the head of the IC, we are talking about mid-level officers and  privates. Kyaramyan did not disclose the details of the case,  referring to its incompleteness.
