ArmInfo.Armenia's incumbent government is a government of reforms, Armenia's Premier Nikol Pashinyan stated at a reception for government system representatives.
This year has seen higher-quality government administration, he said.
"If we sum up this year in terms of government administration, we should note that this year has perhaps been the most effective for us as we have implemented sweeping reforms," Mr Pashinyan said.
He pointed out comprehensive judicial reforms. "We have shown will and have several times raises the salaries in the judicial system. And it is not money, but our commitment to an independent judicial system," he said.
Armenia's premier also mentioned reforms in Armenia's armed forces, police and national security service.
"The Anti-Corruption Committee was formed last year. The judicial system was totally reformed. For the first time in our history we have formed a body with operative ability along with the police and the national security service. It is unprecedented. Reforms have been implemented in the investigative and financial management bodies," Mr Pashinyan said.
He also stressed reforms in Armenia's penitentiary system. "It is for the first time in our history that we have a female prosecutor-general," he said.
The premier also mentioned the electric energy market liberalization and launch of the first Armenia satellite.
"We have once more witnessed, authored and co-authored unprecedented historical events," he said.
"So what can we call the year 2022? Yes, we can call it a year of aggression against Armenia, a year of new territorial losses, a year of further complication of the Nagorno-Karabakh problem, and so on. But if we are to make an unbiased assessment of this year, it has been a year of serious institutional reforms," the premier said.
