He stressed that the people of Artsakh are strong and united, but  they should feel that they are not alone in this struggle.

Ruben Vardanyan told La Vie that today the reaction of the  international community is a vivid example of double standards.

"We are under attack from an authoritarian country, undemocratic,  where people's rights are not respected, where the voice of the media  is silenced, a country that is globally involved in corruption and  money laundering. But this regime is not subject to any sanctions,  and the international press and the community are mostly silent. This  indifference terrifies us," he said.

When asked whether peace with Azerbaijan is really possible, the  State Minister noted that there was a lot of violence and death  between the two nations, and hatred towards the Armenian people has  been instilled in Azerbaijani schools for many years. In this vein,  he emphasized that the search for a road to peace is a long process.

Vardanyan noted that France, after the Armenian Genocide of 1915,  accepted the Armenian people, showing a brotherly attitude.  "Don't  let the tragedy repeat itself a second time. Don't limit yourself to  lending a helping hand, stop what can happen. It is always better to  avoid a disaster than to try to control it," he stressed.
