ArmInfo. The number of respondents who positively assess Western sanctions against Russia is increasing in Armenia.
Thus, when asked to express their attitude to the sanctions that the collective West is imposing against Russia, 37.7% answered that they consider them positive, 53.8% - negative, and another 8.5% found it difficult to answer.
It is noteworthy that in April of this year, only 19.4% of respondents in Armenia, were in favor of sanctions 72.8% were against thaem, and another 7.2% found it difficult to answer.
To clarify whether Western sanctions against Russia affect Armenia, 78.2% of respondents expressed their belief that yes. 17.5% believe that they do not affect, 4.3% found it difficult to answer. In April of this year, the situation was almost the same. 77.6% expressed their belief that the sanctions against Russia affect Armenia, 17.8% - held the opposite opinion, 4.7% - found it difficult to answer.
At the same time, 48.4% of respondents believe that there will be no obvious winners in the Russian- Ukrainian confrontation. 25.9% believe that Ukraine will be defeated, 9.5% - Russia will lose, 16.2% - found it difficult to answer. In April of this year, only 27.5% of respondents were in favor of the fact that there would be no obvious winners. 53.5% were convinced of victory of Russia, 2.4% - Ukraine's victory, 16.3% - found it difficult to answer. At the same time, 63% of respondents agree with the statement that this is a confrontation between the United States and Russia, rather than the Russian Federation and Ukraine. 24.6% - do not agree with such a formulation, 12.4% - found it difficult to answer. In April, 68.4% of respondents thought so, 16.6% did not share this point of view, 15.1% found it difficult to answer. The number of respondents who positively assess the relocation of citizens from Russia to Armenia has also decreased. Thus, 75.6% of respondents have a positive attitude to this, in April of this year there were 86.6%. 22.2% assessed negatively (in April 11.8%), another 2.1% found it difficult to answer (1.6% - in April). When asked whether you think that the resettlement of the population and the relocation of businesses will have a positive impact on the Armenian economy, 79.9% of those surveyed expressed their belief that yes. 16.1% - no, 4% found it difficult to say. In April, 85.2% thought so, 10.4% did not agree with this, another 4.4% found it difficult to answer.
At the same time, 68.2% of respondents agree with the statement that the Russian-Ukrainian confrontation will lead to global changes in the world order. In April, 75.3% thought so. 22.8% (15% - in April) do not share this point of view, 9.1% (8.7% - in April) found it difficult to answer. It should be noted that the survey was conducted through telephone calls to residents of Armenia from December 5 to December 10 of this year.
