ArmInfo.Three road construction companies are involved in the construction of an alternative road in Artsakh. Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of the Republic of Armenia Gnel Sanosyan told journalists about this on December 23 in Gyumri.
According to him, the alternative road leads to the village of Tegh, from where it turns towards Kornidzor and to the border. The length of the road is 11.7 km. Currently, during the implementation of the project, all obstacles and difficulties related to earthworks and blasting have been overcome. In this direction, 80% of all work has been completed. Fortunately, the minister continued, the weather conditions allow the work to be carried out at an active pace. Earthworks will be completed by the end of this year. "Our goal is to asphalt the road in two layers by May next year, but if the weather worsens, we will limit ourselves to one layer for now," Sanosyan said.
